Conducts recruitment activities, selection, hiring and onboarding of volunteers and staff in PAMAS, as well as managing their performance, development and overall well-being.
Qualification Standard
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Human Resource Management, or a related field.
- Previous experience serving in cross-cultural or frontier mission work.
- Baptized and active member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
- Committed and dedicated to full-time volunteer missionary work.
- At least two (2) years of full-time missionary experience working with or supervising missionary volunteers in a ministry recognized by the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
- Trained or experienced in Human Resource Development.
- Demonstrates the ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold a high standard of professionalism.
- Committed to servant leadership with a genuine passion for serving communities.
- Committed to upholding and accurately representing the values and mission of PAMAS and the Seventh-day Adventist Church in all internal and external communications.
- Actively involved in ministry and willing to serve beyond personal comfort zones and boundaries.
Key Responsibilities
- Develops and implements weekly targets and deliverables aligned with the division’s goals.
- Participates in and supports departmental strategic planning to ensure timely achievement of objectives.
- Prepares and submits budget proposals.
- Supervises, monitors, and improves HR processes and departmental operations.
- Manages the end-to-end recruitment and selection process for missionary volunteers and staff, including applicant screening, interviews, onboarding, deployment, and the maintenance of accurate and confidential recruitment and personnel records in compliance with organizational policies.
- Supports the spiritual, personal, and professional development of missionaries by implementing HR policies, programs, and initiatives that promote missionary well-being, engagement, and organizational effectiveness.
- Conducts regular coaching and mentoring sessions to support staff development.
- Leads and facilitates weekly HR meetings to review progress, address challenges, and ensure alignment with targets.
- Coordinates with other departments by attending meetings, providing updates, and gathering feedback.
- Provides administrative support, including scheduling, documentation, and handling basic HR concerns.
- Facilitates communication and urgent instructions from the Division Head related to operations.
