Scope of Work
Manages the PAMAS financial planning, accounting, treasury management, financial control, and risk management.
Qualification Standard
- Must have at least 2-years full time missionary experience handling missionary volunteers recognized by the Seventh-day Adventist Church
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Proven track record of success in financial planning, analysis, and reporting.
- Strong understanding of accounting standards, tax regulations, and financial modeling techniques.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in Literature Evangelism, preferred
- Active in evangelism and willing to move forward beyond boundaries
- Committed and dedicated to do full time missionary work
- Baptized and active member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborates effectively with the PAMAS team to promote and uphold the beliefs, values, and standards of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
- Conducts strategic planning activities to carry out and accomplish the goals promptly
- Ensures that budget proposals are completed and submitted.
- Supervises and monitors activities and processes within the Division to continually improve the operating system
- Conducts weekly meetings with the Department Heads in order to monitor the targets, deliverables and output of the Department.
- Conducts Coaching and Mentoring with the Department Heads on a monthly basis as needed
- Develops and implements the department’s strategic plan, aligning with the PAMAS’’s overall goals.
- Provides weekly targets and deliverables for the whole Division in line with the Divisions Targets and Deliverables
- Develops and manages budgets, forecasting future financial performance, and analyzing variances.
- Prepares financial statements and reports for management, donors and other organizations
- Manages cash flows, forecasting cash requirements, and optimizing cash balances.
- Establishes and maintains robust internal controls to ensure accuracy, reliability, and security of financial data.
- Implements measures to prevent and detect fraud, including financial statement fraud and embezzlement.
- Fosters collaboration and knowledge sharing within the finance team.
